Ulster County is where Phoenicia and Ricciardella Realty of Phoenicia NY are located, in the Heart of the Catskills. It is a county located in South-Eastern New York State, on the west banks of the Hudson River. In the 2010, its population was 182,493. The county seat is Kingston. The county is named for the Irish province of Ulster in Northern Ireland, UK. It's size is 1,161 miles2 or 3,007 km2
The Catskill Mountain Preserve covers all of NW Ulster County, or about 30% of the whole county. The other counties in the park are Greene, Delaware and Sullivan counties.
Greene County is just north of Ulster and includes such popular places like Hunter Mountain, Kaaterskill Falls, the City of Catskill (the county seat), Cairo, Windham Ski area etc. It also has Durham, which is an Irish themed resort town. It has a populatiion around 50K and a land area of 658 mi2 or 1,704 km2. The southwest section of Greene is the heart of the Northern Catskills. Hunter Mountain is the tallest mountain outside of the Adirondacks in New York State. It is also a popular ski resort area. Like Ulster County. it is easy to access via the NYS Thruway.
Delaware County is a very large county that forms the western part of the Catskills and goes all the way down to the Delaware RIver and the Pennsylvania State line. It is easily the most rural of the three counties we cover. It includes Fleishmanns, Arkville, Margaretville. Delhi is the county seat.
Sullivan County is a very large county that forms the southern part of the Catskills and goes all the way down to the Delaware RIver and the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State lines. It is the classic Catskill county in terms of what city people usually refer to when they say the Catskills. It boasted a lot of the old classic resorts as well as in Bethel is where the legendary Woodstock Music Festival really happened, not in Ulster County Woodstock. Some towns there are Liberty. Monticello, Apalachin etc. It's county seat is Monticello.
